Victor Ekpu is an accomplished economist and strategic advisor with over 16 years of experience spanning financial services, management consulting, academia, and public policy. As Founder and Director of Mindset Resource Consulting, he provides senior leadership and quality oversight across the firm’s economic, policy, strategy, and technology consulting practices.

Previously, Victor held a senior role within the Investment Risk, Analytics and Research function at Baillie Gifford & Co, where he provided independent risk analysis and thematic insight to support portfolio construction and capital allocation decisions, including oversight of a $1.2 billion private equity portfolio.

Prior to that, he was a Research Associate Manager in Accenture’s Growth & Strategy Practice, advising Fortune 500 clients on innovation strategy, digital transformation, industry disruption, and long-term value creation. Earlier in his career, Victor was a Research Fellow at the Enterprise Research Centre (ERC) at Aston Business School, where he led ESRC-funded programmes on SME finance, innovation, and productivity, including a landmark national study on the economic value of design in the UK.

Victor has advised central banks and senior policymakers on macroeconomic management, financial regulation, and risk governance, and has taught economics at the University of Glasgow. He holds a PhD in Economics and an MSc (Distinction) in Economics, Banking & Finance from the University of Glasgow. He is a published author, and a regular international conference speaker, recognised for translating rigorous analysis into clear, decision-ready insights.
