Jonathan is an Associate Expert in Economic Advisory at Mindset Resource Consulting (MRC), bringing over three decades of experience across academia, central banking, government, financial services, consulting, and investment management. He is an accomplished economist known for translating rigorous quantitative analysis into clear, actionable insights for businesses, investors, and policymakers across developed and emerging markets.

Jonathan has held senior roles at the Bank of England, Accenture, and Lloyds Banking Group, leading economic analysis, modelling, and data science initiativesEarlier in his career, he was an Economics Fellow at Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, and a lecturer at University College London.

Jonathan has published extensively in leading academic journals, with research covering labour markets, unemployment dynamics, econometric methods, and training outcomes. Alongside his advisory work, he is a sought-after speaker and moderator, regularly addressing global inflation, trade policy, and long-term growth prospects in Africa and beyond. At MRC, Jonathan supports clients with macroeconomic analysis, econometric modelling, forecasting, and strategic economic insight, delivered in a practical, decision-focused manner.

Jonathan holds a PhD in Economics from Queen's University and completed postdoctoral research in Economics at Northwestern University. He also holds a B.Soc.Sci in Mathematics, Economics, and Statistics from the University of Birmingham, and an MSc in Mathematical Economics and Econometrics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
